AI4EU and HumanE-AI joined hands to organise the first workshop on New Foundations for Human-Centered AI at the Digital ECAI 2020, which starts later this week totally online.
World renown AI experts and researchers from AI4EU and HumanE-AI will jointly run the full-day workshop on September 4, 2020. The goal of the workshop is to address the fundamental questions of what are the scientific and technological gaps that we must fill to make AI systems "human-centered" in terms of the HLEG guidelines.
The EC "AI High-Level Expert Group" (AI-HLEG) had delivered last year a set of ethics guidelines on Artificial Intelligence. These guidelines put forward a human-centered approach to AI, and list seven key requirements that human-centered, trustworthy AI systems should meet. Making the current AI system compliant to these guidelines is a scientific endeavour that is as crucial as it is challenging and stimulating.
The workshop is part of the official Digital ECAI-2020, the European Conference on AI. To attend the workshop, you must register at https://digital.ecai2020.eu (free registration).
